What if rail operators designed cars…

Department for Transport (DfT) figures show the number of journeys being made by train in Britain is approximately 57% of what it was before the coronavirus crisis, while car use has fully recovered.

It is widely reported that more people than ever have taken to buying used motors for solo, Covid-safe trips during lockdown. 

The number of sales was up 6.6% on pre-pandemic levels in 2019 and, year on year, the used car market grew 108.6% in the second quarter of 2021.

Vertu Motors have predicted that used cars will continue to soar and so, in a little bit of fun, the group have created what they think the transport sector would look like should rail operators turn to the personal commuter route. Here are their curious creations:
