The Severn Valley Railway is celebrating Mothers’ Day on Sunday, March 19 by hosting a spring fair – alongside regular services.
The railway is running services between Kidderminster and Highley during March, including on Mothers’ Day, with tickets priced at a fraction of the standard fare. There’s lots to see and do along the scenic line, with options to hop on and off at Bewdley and Arley stations, and the first departure from Kidderminster leaving at 10am.
Throughout the weekend of March 18 and 19, there’s a Spring Gift Fayre at The Engine House at Highley. Dozens of artisan companies will be selling crafts, gifts, and food and drink produce, and visitors can browse the stalls alongside a stunning collection of full-size locomotives and carriages on static display.
For an extra-special Mothers’ Day treat, just a few first-class afternoon tea upgrades are still available to pre-book, departing at noon and 2pm on board a luxuriously appointed 1936-built dining carriage. For more information and to book tickets, visit svr.co.uk
