Ecclesbourne Valley Railway’s Summer Diesel Gala is back

The Ecclesbourne Valley Railway’s popular summer diesel gala is back, this time spanning Thursday through Sunday.

A special timetable will be in operation on all four days, with locomotives running in a variety of formations from Thursday to Saturday. Sunday is dubbed Sulzer Sunday where Class 47 D1842 and visiting Class 26 007 will take the reigns.

Also featuring is the first in class 73001 and Class 31 31601. Class 121 DMU W55034 is due to take part too.

26007 is visiting the EVR for the season, arriving initially in time for the Twin Peaks gala which took place in April.

Special day rover ticketing is in operation which can be purchased online in advance for a discounted rate or at the ticket offices on the day.
