Welcome to the October edition of Rail Express.

This issue is packed with news and features you cannot miss. There is the latest on TransPennine Express deciding to withdraw its Class 68-hauled Mk.5A fleet from December. We have details of the final diagrams as well as the reasoning behind the decision.

Direct Rail Services looks set to try and sell some Class 37s for a third time, but with more locomotives to be added to the tender, while CrossCountry’s retro-livery High Speed Trains have returned to traffic ahead of the final few weeks in service.
