Hornby has revealed the design for a model featuring the new Great British Railways (GBR) livery.

The Secretary of State for Transport, Heidi Alexander, revealed the design using a specially produced Hornby 1:76 scale model of the Class 800.
The event offered the first public look at the new GBR identity ahead of full size trains carrying the livery from next year.

The model features a detailed representation of the new red, white and blue livery.
“We are incredibly proud to work on this at such a significant point for the industry,” said Martyn Weaver, Hornby Brand MD. “Creating the first model to showcase the new Great British Railways livery has allowed us to capture that moment in a way people can see, hold, play with and enjoy.”
The Hornby GBR Class 800 model will be available for customers to purchase next year, coinciding with the introduction of the real trains onto the network.
