HUDSWELL, Clarke 0-4-0ST Waleswood (750/1906) has joined the Chasewater Railway’s operating fleet on long-term loan after more than 30 years out of action.
The former Waleswood Colliery locomotive transferred from its restoration base at the Northamptonshire Ironstone Railway Trust to Chasewater on September 1, having spent the last three years undergoing a major overhaul by owner Colin Stott.

The project has included an extensive boiler rebuild, with a new barrel and smokebox, plus much renewal of the firebox.
